Cool Technologies’ Mobile Power Generation Work Truck Nears Completion

First Customer Demonstrations Being Readied

TAMPA, FL–(Marketwired – Nov 14, 2016) – Cool Technologies, Inc. (OTCQB: WARM), an innovator in mobile power generation, energy efficiency, and heat removal technologies, will demo its Mobile Generation (MG) technology by the end of the month then unveil a fully retrofitted work truck shortly thereafter.

Final wiring and testing of the electronics, controls and software continue while the Ford F-350 dually is currently being prepped for show. The initial demonstrations will showcase the work truck’s capabilities to key OEM’s and up-fitters.

“With the election of Donald Trump, we believe the timing is very auspicious for generating orders,” said Tim Hassett, Cool Technologies’ Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “One of the centerpieces of his campaign platform is a vast increase in infrastructure spending. He promised to spend $550 billion to almost a trillion to build the next generation of roads, bridges, railways, tunnels, sea ports, and airports.”

The increase in spending could significantly benefit Cool Technologies because an integral part of infrastructure construction is mobile electric power. The company’s Mobile Generation (MG) system transforms any Class 2-6 truck into a mobile generator. A proprietary gearing system uses the truck’s internal combustion engine to run an on-board generator that delivers up to 200 kW of single or three phase electric power.

The custom 42.3 Generator built by Emerson Electric (soon to be Nidec Corp.) powers compressors, welders and other equipment or even bucket truck arms from underneath the bed of the work vehicle. This eliminates the need to tow a generator to a work site, so the truck can tow other equipment.

With the MG system, mobile power generation has four wheel drive capability, which enhances its appeal to military services in need of “tactical generators”, particularly, as tow-behinds tend to be heavy and cumbersome.

According to Mr. Hassett, “Tow behinds weigh, at a minimum, 50% more than our MG system. Most weigh even more. Direct comparisons using industry data from the likes of Caterpillar, Doosan and Generac show they weigh closer to 75% more than an MG system that outputs the same power.”

The lighter weight means better overall fuel economy. The use of a single motor increases reliability, reduces emissions and noise which should increase its appeal to an increasingly electronics-driven military. Once again, the president-elect’s plans to increase the size of the Army and Marine forces could benefit the Company.

To underscore the potential benefits the new administration may provide, a list of Donald Trump’s relevant positions and policies on infrastructure and the military will be included in the most recent blog post (https://cooltechnologiesinc.com/category/blog/). To highlight the progress that’s been made, the Company will update the Gantt chart it added to the previous blog post.
